            January 1995-Present

Self-employed professional potter, rendering functional ceramics for the retail and wholesale market.  Responsible for production, marketing, accounting, and gallery affiliations.

 

            Instructor, Penland School of Crafts, Penland, North Carolina

            September-November 2002

 

            Instructor, Odyssey Center for the Ceramic Arts, Asheville, North Carolina

            August 1998-Present

Developed curriculum and provided instruction for Beginning Throwing and Surface

Decoration.  Concentrating on sgrafitto, applied sprig molds, carving, and a variety of

            Glazing techniques.

           

            Teaching Assistant, Penland School of Crafts, Penland, North Carolina

            March-May 1996        

Assisted Matthew Metz and Linda Sikora in meeting their curriculum objectives for the course “Making Decorative Pots”.    Responsible for planning and implementation of studio production and multiple kiln firings.  Aided in development of class structure and work group management.  Accountable for materials inventory, special orders, and equipment maintenance.
